We are the premier oceanfront hotel on the Crystal Coast that accepts pets in most of our units.

Most of our units are suites with efficiency kitchens, dining, living and sleeping areas. All have patios or decks facing the surf, free Wi-Fi and all expected amenities. All of our rooms are non-smoking.

When you visit the Atlantis all services and facilities are for your complimentary use. In summer months, we have beach attendants to tend to your needs.

The third floor lounge serves as your "living room". It boasts a large screen TV, ping pong table, game table, championship pool table and an amazing view of the ocean.

Our extraordinary outdoor pool is not the usual little concrete hole, but an environment created within maritime woods. Usually a quiet place for reading, swimming or merely floating it's also a great place for small get-togethers.

The Atlantis opened in 1963 in the middle of a maritime forest directly on the Atlantic Ocean. Ruth Bray (Dot's mom) ran this beautiful lodge until she retired in 1980. At that time, A.C. retired from his position as City Planner in Raleigh, NC and moved to Pine Knoll Shores with Dot to run the Atlantis.

In the summer of 2003, Donna, their daughter, moved down from the Raleigh area with her dog Cody and soon became the General Manager of the Atlantis. Donna has done a great job of keeping things updated with fresh new ideas. She and her 3 brothers hope to keep the Atlantis in the family and thriving for many years to come.

Be sure and speak to Cody when you come to stay with us. He is our "official greeter" and is in the lobby area most of the time greeting guests as they come and go. The Atlantis is a small, friendly, family oriented lodge that prides itself in preserving the environment around them. The property is very lush and is a wonderful little habitat for wildlife. Come and see why folks keep returning year after year.
